Optimizing the management of OHS and disability issues

SISST includes occupational health and safety and workers compensation related information. The system is a modular based system and, as a result, is able to share common information.

Each module is designed to meet a specific need, and can be easily integrated into a global disability management system.The design of the software assures the evolution of the product while protecting the initial installation.

Incident Management Module

The main module of SISST, the Incidents module, allows for recording of essential information related to an accident/incident which has an impact on business operations.

  • Information regarding an incident (workplace accidents resulting in lost or no lost time, occupational and/or personal illnesses);
  • Information regarding first aid visits and medical follow-up and management;
  • Management of absenteeism (both occupational and non-occupational);
  • Management of modified duties;
  • Management of temporary or permanent functional limitations;

The information stored in SISST can easily be retrieved through built-in reporting tools, as well as through utilizing other report generators. Reports already in SISST include:

  • Reports on frequency and severity of injuries, absences, and accidents;
  • CSST - Employer's Notice and Reimbursement Claim;
  • Analysis and statistical reports/graphs.
Administrative Module


The Disability Manager can manage the administration of CSST claims using the claims appeals and cost relief modules, which provide:

Unlimited space to record notes on the recovery and appeals process;

The ability to follow-up cost relief efforts and monitor CSST at all levels of appeal;

Standard letter formats.

Disability Module To ensure that all types of absenteeism, including non-work related disabilities, can be tracked and managed, SISST includes a disability module specifically designed to manage non-work related insurance claims and absences.

  • Management of medical information.
  • Monitoring insurance coverage, including waiting periods.
  • Tracking claims that switch between work and non-work related claims.
  • Controlling absences.
  • Management of return to work programs.

Financial Module

The increasing cost of CSST claims demands that employers have the ability to manage and monitor their CSST costs. The financial module allows users to achieve this goal. Users are now able to monitor CSST claim costs.

The financial module provides the user with the ability to :

  • Project cost relief scenarios;
  • Prepare simulations on the effect of early return to work programs;
  • Review the effects of long term and/or permanent injuries;
  • Project Experience Rating Rebates and Surcharges.
Medical Modules

SISST provides complete solution for audiologic and pulmonary management software, in collaboration with Infomedic BR Inc. CORTI(c) for managing your Hearing Conservation Program, which allows to:

  • Accumulate audiometric data;
  • Interface with microprocessor audiometers;
  • Automatically analyze audiometric data and classification according to degree of hearing loss;
  • Calculate variation of hearing threshold levels according to STS OSHA recommendations;
  • Evaluate the relationship between hearing loss and exposure to noise;
  • Evaluate the audiometric profile of the company and/or of an individual.
